This is great question that I’m frequently asked. Back in the 90’s, (a pretty sweet decade) everything was print. You’d go to a department store to get photos taken and you’d choose which photos you’d like, which sizes, and how many of each…and boom, that’s it.
But, what if you wanted an extra 8×10 for your wall? Or realized you forgot to get grandma a 5×7 for Christmas? Wallets for dad? Well, then you need to go back to that store and pay for more prints within a certain amount of time from that session. Copyright laws prevent you from copying and printing from those images you previously bought from that store.
Now, what if you had all the awesome images from your session, edited professionally, and in digital format? So, you can print those wherever, whenever, and however you’d like! No need to ask permission, pay more money, or schedule anything! For real.
Want to make a printed photo album of your session? Get 100 newborn announcement cards with the photos of your newborn baby? Use the senior photos for graduation party invites? Headshots for your LinkedIn profile? The possibilities are endless.
Having digital copies of your images allow you to do all that! [insert all the happy emojis here]
