The Family Experience
We’ll absolutely get the photo where everyone’s looking and smiling. Grandma will appreciate that one.
But the images families tend to love most are the ones that feel a little more like real life.

Someone laughing when they weren't supposed to.
The quick hug that happens without anyone asking for it.
Family sessions don’t need to be perfectly behaved to be beautiful.
I’ll guide things along so we get the portraits you want, but there’s plenty of room for personality too. A little movement, a little chaos, a lot of love.
As a parent myself, I know that the best moments with kids rarely happen when everyone is standing still.
And that’s okay — because those are usually the photos that feel the most like your family.

Before your session
Once you're booked, we’ll pick a location and go over any details you want to talk through. Outfit suggestions? I’ve got you. Location ideas? I’m here for that too.
I’ll also send a few simple tips that make sessions with kids go smoother — things like timing, what to bring, and how to keep everyone happy.
Nothing complicated. Just a little preparation so the session feels relaxed instead of chaotic.
On your session day
After your session
We’ll keep things moving and relaxed.
I’ll give a little guidance when it helps, but most of the time we’re just letting things unfold naturally. Kids can explore, sit in your lap, run ahead on the trail, or show me their favorite rock they just found.
You don’t have to force anything.
Some of the best photos usually happen in the in-between moments anyway.
The next business day, I’ll share a small preview on social so you get to see a few favorites right away.
Your full gallery will follow soon after, carefully edited and ready to download, share, and print.

Our family LOVED working with Ashley! We were in search of a photographer to take senior photos of our daughter while capturing some bonus family photos as well while on vacation in Colorado. She was very responsive to all inquiries via email and text and her contract and payment format was simple! When the day of the photo shoot arrived, she put us all at ease from the moment she walked in the door. We haven't done professional photos in years because of the stress involved and there was NONE with Ashley! She made the individual photo time with my daughter so much FUN. The experience alone will be a lasting memory, in addition to the beautiful photos! My son and husband cooperated willingly which is a huge compliment to Ashley's demeanor! We are so thankful for time, consideration and skill! We have stunning photos as lifelong memories!
