This Telluride Wedding hit differently. It was beautiful in every way. It was full of joy, immaculate scenery, and tons of wedding guests sharing in their new chapter. There was also a remarkable story of beauty from ashes.
Both Steve and Angie are widowed. They both have extremely tragic stories. They both trusted God through their heartache and tears and found their way to each other. Let me tell you, they are wonderful together. To be in their presence is to be in the presence of pure, selfless, graceful love. I was humbled to be asked to capture their engagement as well as their wedding.
Steve and Angie did their wedding in two parts. The first day was the ceremony and reception. They were surrounding by their closest friends and family. Telluride Sleighs + Wagons was their backdrop and it was incredible. Angie’s family lives and owns this property and I was stunned at every turn by the beauty.
The entire day had a relaxed and calm vibe to it. There was little rushing around or worrying about perfection. There were many hugs and prayers, endless amounts of smiles, and the sweetest wedding guests. Steve and Angie had a memorial board in place to honor their late spouses, and I got a a bit weepy when I saw it standing right in front of their dance floor.
Their first look was one to remember, Steve and Angie were both so full of surprise and joy when they first saw each other all decked out for their big day. Their embrace was beautiful. Angie took Steve’s breath away and I loved being able to capture it. If you are on the fence about a First Look, I highly recommend it. Here’s why.
The day was truly perfect. It was exactly what they wanted it to be. The second day was a large reception with well over 100 people at a local banquet room in Montrose. It is obvious how adored and loved they are by their family and friends.
Steve owns and operates Heritage Farms, and the fresh beef at their wedding was some of the most delicious food ever! Their caterer hit it out of the park as well and my assistant and I were chowing down when we got a minute. Dave Jensen kept the party going and got people dancing and the Wedding Coordinator helped the day run smoothly.
Overall, their Telluride Wedding was one for the books. I am so excited to Steve and Angie and wish them a lifetime of joy, love, happiness, and peace. What an honor to photograph their big day.
