I'm a Jersey girl living in the Colorado mountains- I'm a sucker for glowly light and deep conversations over a glass of whiskey . . .

Jordan + Maddison’s Gorgeous Ridgway State Park Wedding

A Ridgway State Park wedding with two local police officers who love their jobs and their horses! Maddison and Jordan were a joy to capture. We had their engagement session up at Dallas Divide, and I knew their wedding would be one for the books.

Jordan was all smiles around Maddison—he couldn’t take his eyes off her, and their connection was undeniable. Maddison looked stunning, and Jordan was sharp as ever, thrilled for their first look. They shared the moment with so much love; their excitement set the tone for the whole day.

The ceremony was right at Ridgway State Park’s overlook, with mountain views in every direction. Then, we headed down to Pa-Co-Chu-Pak for the reception, where Rusty Wouters with Neon Sky took the stage and covered some crowd favorites. The dancing was a blast and Colorado Q served up some amazing BBQ—safe to say, they nailed it as usual.

Jordan did a dance with his Grandma to a song she used to sing to him when he was a little boy, I’m pretty sure all the wedding guests and maybe, just maybe, the photographer, were all tearing up as well. I’ve always thought that you could tell a lot about a man from how he treats his mom/grandma, sisters, etc . . . if that’s the case. Then I have no question on how wonderful he will be treating his new bride.

When it was time for sunset photos, we went back up to the park with a champagne pop planned. The Best Woman added her own twist by popping it a little early—totally unexpected but absolutely hilarious! Those spontaneous moments made it even more memorable. We couldn’t stop laughing as we rode up in the truck, sharing stories with the Best Woman along the way. My assistant, Whitney, and I were hysterical the whole drive. I think anyone driving by us was definitely doing a double take.I couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the day with these two.

Ridgway State Park is the perfect place to say “I do.” Seriously, it’s got everything you need for a beautiful backdrop—lush woods, sparkling water, and towering trees that frame your day perfectly. Whether you’re getting married, eloping, or just looking for a fun spot for a family photo session, this park has you covered. The epic views make every shot Instagram-worthy, and you can’t help but feel the magic in the air. Honestly, you can’t beat celebrating love surrounded by such stunning Colorado scenery!

Maddison and Jordan, thank you for letting me be a part of this beautiful day. I might be name-dropping you if I get pulled over anytime soon! Thats cool . . . right?
