Talk about a beautiful location! Taylor’s mom reached out and asked me if I would come up to their family cabin and take her daughter’s senior photos. I was so excited because I’ve heard the Buckhorn Lake area was gorgeous, and trust me, it did not disappoint.
Taylor was a complete joy to work with and I really enjoyed her session. I was 8 months pregnant when I did this session, (the ride up there was a little bumpy and I was a wee bit nervous at first, ha!) My husband and kids tagged along, and went hiking while I was shooting. It worked out perfectly! They got an awesome adventure, and I got to do what I love and meet some awesome new people. (Also, a huge shoutout to this family and everyone who let me use their bathroom, take frequent water breaks, and deal with my pregnant self during my last pregnancy)
Fun Fact: Taylor goes to the school I graduated from. I only went there one year but it was fun to chat with her about the school and see what has changed and what remains the same. Taylor is a swim instructor and on the swim team (and from what I hear is a total rock star).
There was a tree in the their yard that mom had carved Taylors name on when she was a toddler. It was so awesome to take a picture next to that tree 16 years later!
Here are a few of my favorites from her senior session.
