Some sessions just check every box.
Wildflowers, mountains, a fun family, and a little bit of everything mixed in — the Trull family’s session in Crested Butte was exactly that.

When they reached out about planning a session filled with wildflowers and mountain views, I was immediately excited. Crested Butte in the summer is hard to beat. The fields come alive with color, the mountains frame everything perfectly, and it feels like you’ve stepped into a postcard.
It’s one of those places people come back to year after year, and I love that this family has that connection to it.
We started the session at their Airbnb with a few updated headshots. It was a relaxed way to ease into things, and honestly a great reminder that you don’t always have to go far to get clean, natural images.
From there, we headed out to one of my favorite kinds of locations — a simple pull-off along the road where the wildflowers were showing off.

And they did not disappoint.
For Addie’s senior photos, we wandered through fields of color with the mountains rising in the background. She absolutely rocked her session. The energy, the confidence, the excitement — all of it came through in the best way.

As a photographer, those are the sessions you dream about.
We even grabbed a few shots along the road, which I always love. There’s something about a winding mountain road cutting through a wildflower field that creates the best composition. It adds just enough movement and depth to make the photos feel a little extra special.

After that, we wrapped up with full family photos, and this crew made it so easy.
They were kind, relaxed, and just genuinely enjoyed being together. Those are always the sessions that turn out the best.

It was such a fun evening, and I’m so grateful I got to meet them and capture this season for their family.
