I have been wanting to do a shoot with my Littles in Wedding Dresses for years. A while ago I saw on this idea on Pinterest. A mom had taken out her wedding dress from storage and put her 3-4 yr old daughter in it. I thought it was the sweetest idea and I’ve been itching to do this ever since.
I consider myself extremely lucky that not only do I have the best friends ever whose daughters are best friends with mine! But, they are always up for an adventure and go along with my crazy ideas. So my friends and I dug our beautifully preserved wedding dresses (from many years ago) out of storage and made it happen. This location is a favorite of mine. Top of Pines is extremely remote and gorgeous. I’ve shot weddings, engagements, and family sessions here. It’s a hidden gem and it made for the perfect backdrop for our Littles In Wedding Dresses Session.
There is no bad season at Top of the Pines. I’ve shot here during winter, which looks completely like a hallmark movie! Summer, which is dream and the mountains have the pink alpenglow as the sun goes down. Spring, everything is getting green but there is still snow on the mountain peaks. And my all time favorite, fall. You cant go wrong in any season. But, if you choose to go in Winter- I recommend 4-wheel drive, for sure.
So bragging on my friends here. They are completely amazing. They helped all the girls get in dresses, fix tiaras, (which one of them brought the gorgeous flower ones), and get them all ready while I was taking the photos. It got slightly chilly towards the end. But, let me tell you- these girls had the TIME OF THEIR LIFE. They felt like total princesses and I had so much fun running around and just being little girls all together.
A big thank you to Whitney, Chelsea, and Zac for making my Little Girls in Wedding Dresses session come true!
Check out some of my favorites from our session.
This gorgeous girl is mine. She is the most joyful, loving child ever. Stunning in every way.
This little beauty is mine too, I just love her little sweet smile and gorgeous blonde hair.
While we waited for the sun to go down a bit we took a few extra photos of these besties in the the shade of the pine trees.
