This beautiful summer family session was a blast. Jennifer contacted me about gifting an extended family session to her parents for their anniversary. Her sister was going to be in town from Florida and they wanted to get photos while she was here! I can not recommend enough how much I love this and what a good idea it is!
So, we all know how hard it is to get family all together, feeling well, in the same place, and coordinate schedules. So, when your family is in town – schedule some family photos. Mom/Dad will thank you! It will be such a gift to them to have photos of all their kids and grandkids. Honestly, after talking with tons of grandparents, it was obvious what family photos meant to them. It is so easy to let our family photos get out dated. With new babies coming into the family, spouses, and so many life changes- it is something that often gets pushed way down on our ‘to-do’ list. I always recommend making annual family photos a part of your routine! But, I implore you . . . when you have family in from out of town- take an hour out of the day to schedule some professional photos!
During this family session we got to take tons of different groupings for photos- we did each family and each kid individually as well as all the cousins, grandparents with all their grandkids, etc . . . So fun! I could tell Grandma was loving having her whole family together. Plus, it’s a total bonus when you get to just watch your grandkids run around and play with each other.
This family was incredible sweet! And, they picked perfect outfits and had a smile on the whole time. If you are stuck on what to wear – this family can definitely give you some inspiration. One of her dresses was actually mom’s when she was little! How amazing is that?!? If you need some more outfit ideas, here’s a Pinterest board for you to scroll through!
We also snuck in some extra photos of the birthday girl! This sweet little girl turned one and her Mom, Audra, had the most adorable dresses, and tea party set up for her. We took them at the perfect time with the most dreamy light and I love how they came out!
Audra was also the winner of last year’s Christmas Card contest! I’m so excited to take their photos again when they come into town this summer!
Here are some of my favorites from their Summer Family Session!
