This Extended Family Session was so much fun! I’ve been taking photos for the Morgan family for a few years now. This session is extra special because parents, siblings, and grandparents got to join. The grandparents celebrated a big (I believe 60th) anniversary! We recreated some old photos, updated new ones, and created some magic.

This location is one my favorites. It is easy access for all ages, it’s not too far from town, and the lighting is perfect. There are a few different spots at the Ute Indian Museum were I like to do sessions and this path is one of them! It helps give us the cleanest light and has great access to the sky. Win Win.

I look forward to photographing this family every year. Their two littles girls are just the sweetest and Kayla always has them in the most precious outfits! The first time I photographed them their youngest was just an infant and it was FREEZING. As in, the session only lasted 30 min because baby was way too cold! (So were we).

As a side note: If you want to get family photos, I can’t express this enough- get them scheduled, today. I know it seems like you just need to wait until next year, loose that extra 10 lbs, or wait until you all are on the same schedule. But, if we are being honest- there will always be some reason why you think you should put them off. The reality is that whatever season you are in right now deserved to be captured. I’ve been honored to photograph this wonderful family as they grow. Including a recent session, where Tim graduated from the police academy! So awesome! Again, I love this job and all the connection it creates. Being able to see my clients year after year and developing friendships with them is truly the best.
