I couldn’t resist the pun. Sorry (kind of).
This family + this backdrop = one of my most favorite family sessions EVER. You could ask Ashley and Wade how much I was geeking out during this session, (a lot). We drove up in Wade’s truck and found the most amazing spot between these perfect pine tree’s, with the snowy mountains glowing behind them. I kept saying the scenery looked fake, because of how incredible it looked.
This location is both gorgeous and tricky. For one, you need a good 4 wheel truck, and a capable driver, to get here (thanks Wade). The sun also sets about 40 minutes sooner than the rest of the area because it dips behind the mountain to the right. But, with a little planning and this family going along with all my crazy, ‘‘I promise I know what I’m doing” comments, we created some magic.
We are pretty close to the Pynes family. Their kids and our kids are best friends and we love our summer ‘hygge‘ nights, coffee dates, and annual Christmas party laughs. I’ve worked previously with both Ashley and Wade on other projects and have really enjoyed collaborating with them.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t say this . . . these guys are a dream to work with. Photogenic, sweet, funny, easy going, did I mention photogenic? Check out some of my favorites from their session. ( I may have been a little indecisive).
