Honestly, there’s something magical about Golden Aspen Family Photos up on Dave Wood Road. I had the pleasure of capturing Julie, Jason, and their three boys in the midst of Montrose’s perfect autumn scene. And, we hit it right as the aspens turned that beautiful dark golden hue, creating an amazing backdrop for this session. The kids were a blast—so well-behaved and full of creative ideas for “silly boy” poses. You could tell they were in their element, coming up with elaborate scenes for me to photograph and being proud of it!
Also, I’ve known Julie and Jason for about a decade, so it’s always a treat working with them. We actually share a pretty cool connection. Julie and I were pregnant at the same time, her with Leo and me with Lucy! It’s wild to think how much time has flown by, watching these kids grow up each year. And wow, did they grow!! Eli is much taller than me now, and the rest are not far behind. Now, seeing Leo and his brothers posing among the golden aspens on Dave Wood Road, it’s clear these Golden Aspen Family Photos are a win!
So, for anyone considering family photos, fall on Dave Wood Road is truly ideal. Between the golden aspens, crisp mountain air, and endless mountain views, and wooden fence line, it’s a photographer’s dream and a family favorite. These Golden Aspen Family Photos came out beautifully, capturing the natural charm of Montrose in fall and the warmth of this amazing family. I can’t wait to share these shots with Julie and Jason, and I already look forward to next year’s session.
