Liam and Libby’s Palisade Colorado wedding in early October was one of those days that just felt good from start to finish.
I got to photograph it alongside my girl Alisha from Oakstream Photo, which always makes the day even more fun. We have the best time together, and I’m always grateful for any chance to work side by side.
The day started off a little wild—literally. The wind had other plans, and the tents needed a few rounds of adjusting before everything finally settled down. But right when it mattered most, it calmed down for the ceremony… and honestly, it couldn’t have worked out more perfectly.

Before everything began, Libby had a moment with her dad in the bridal suite that I don’t think anyone in that room will forget. He walked in, saw her, and just completely lit up—gushing over how beautiful she looked. Libby started crying, and by the end of it, I’m pretty sure the entire room was right there with her. One of those moments you can feel.

Their ceremony took place with Mt. Garfield in the background, surrounded by orchards, and it was just unreal. That view alone makes a Palisade wedding hard to beat. The bridesmaids wore the prettiest sage dresses, and the guys in grey suits? Always a yes from me. Grey or beige—every single time.

After the ceremony, we got to explore the property thanks to the owner driving us around in a golf cart, which made the whole experience even more fun. We stopped everywhere—the pond, the wheat fields, the orchard, and of course, those mountain views. It’s one of those venues where every direction gives you something different to work with.
Their details were so good too. The fall-toned bouquets were beautiful, and everything tied together in such a natural way.

The reception was just as fun as the rest of the day. The dance floor stayed full, and the DJ was such a blast to work with. He had a QR code set up for song requests, which might be one of my favorite ideas I’ve seen—so simple and so fun. And the coffee bar? Very appreciated once 7pm hit 😅

Every wedding is different, and this one was such a good reminder of how fun and full these days can be—even with a little wind thrown in.
Liam and Libby, I loved getting to be a part of it all.
And Alisha—always the best days shooting alongside you.

If you haven’t seen this trend, it is amazing! The Dj plays a song, and within that time the bride and groom run to each table for a quick photo! Such a blast, and the best memories to have with your guests! Definitely a trend I’d like to see stick around.
