Family session in the orchard with cherry blossoms, does it get any better? It does, this was an adoption session. These two sweet little girls have a forever home and the amount of love that you could feel during this session can’t be overstated. What an honor to capture. Truly.
The blooms in this part of Colorado only last a few days in the spring. We get some crazy high winds during Apr-June and when the gusts get up to over 40mph the blooms go along with them. I was so glad that I was able to squeeze a few sessions at this orchard while the cherry blossoms lasted. In another life, I’d like to travel the world during spring to see all the cherry blossoms, they are just magical to me.
The girls had so much fun dancing, playing, and hanging with mom and dad during this session. They were eating the attention up! I’m a big believer in letting kids be kids. Getting posed smiling portraits is important and we always make sure to get a few of those, but personalities really shine through when you let every just be themselves. Gentle prompting allows for candid, spontaneous, and genuine photos; and that is what I am after. Every family has a special connection and I truly enjoyed getting some time with this family and capturing their joy!
Check out some of my favorites from their Spring Blossom Session. The golden wheat field ones are some of my absolutely faves!
