I'm a Jersey girl living in the Colorado mountains- I'm a sucker for glowly light and deep conversations over a glass of whiskey . . .

Meet Ashley

Little known fact: My husband and I took in foster children for about three years. We met incredible people along the way, one of those, being Rebekah. She was our coordinator within our foster agency. She was with us from the beginning, starting our home study, learning our life stories, and walking along side us every step of the way with our placements.

A couple years ago Rebekah branched off and decided to start her own local foster care agency with a focus on kinship. Kinship is when the child removed from the home, goes to someone within the family. So many times, these families are ill-prepared to have a child in their home and the adventure that lies ahead. Rebekah is fantastic at helping these families navigate their new journey, sharing resources, and helping to build a reliable support system.

Rebekah reached out to me at the beginning of the year and asked if I would take some updated headshots for her as well as some branding photos for her website, I was so excited to work with her again.

If you have ever considered becoming a foster parent, I encourage you to prayerfully consider it. It was one of the most humbling experiences we’ve ever had. There are an insurmountable number of children who would love your love. No need to be perfect, or to have read every parenting book out there. If you are local, head over to the Kin Connect website here, and reach out to Rebekah! She is fantastic and will answer all your questions.

Here are some of my favorites from our session. What a beautiful thing to be a part of.
